Jemimah Rodrigues

Top-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues produced a memorable knockout performance, smashing an unbeaten 127 off 134 balls, including 14 boundaries, against defending champions Australia. Chasing 339, Jemimah steadied India after opener Shafali Verma fell early. She anchored the record-breaking chase with remarkable composure. The Mumbai girl eventually sank to her knees in tears after guiding India into the final.

Harmanpreet Kaur

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front in the semi-final. With India struggling at 59-2 while chasing 338, she counter-attacked with 89 off 88 balls, including two sixes and 10 fours. Her 157-run partnership with Jemimah proved decisive. Though she scored just 20 in the final, Kaur’s captaincy while defending 299, particularly her bowling changes and decision to introduce Shafali, proved crucial for the hosts.
