Sachin Tendulkar's ODI double century provided former Test player turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar good fodder for his speech as chief guest at the Harris Shield, Giles Shield and Late Manoramabai Apte Trophy function yesterday.



"Wednesday's performance is the greatest motivation one can get. Hats off to that man in his 20th year (of international cricket), who got a double hundred in one day cricket and right till the end, he was running those singles," Manjrekar told the gathering of young cricketers.

He stressed the point about India having cricketers like Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid, all great roleu00a0 models. "Just keep following these guys and you will be fine," said Manjrekar.
