India's 2026 T20 World Cup-winning captain Suryakumar is known to be a 360-degree batter for his hard-hitting skills and innovative shots all around the ground. The highly experienced MI batter has 6462 runs under his belt in 214 IPL games. Despite winning the T20 World Cup recently, Suryakumar managed to score just 242 runs in nine games in the tournament. So, the Mumbai boy, who scored 165 runs in five Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches last season, has a point to prove in IPL-19. When it comes to the IPL, he has always showcased his match-winning abilities. In last year’s IPL, he scored 717 runs in 16 matches at an
impressive strike rate of 167.92 with five half-centuries.
Rohit Sharma

India's 2024 T20 World Cup-winning captain and MI’s five-time IPL-winning skipper Rohit Sharma is currently playing only ODIs for the country. However, Rohit, who is looking much fitter now, has been frenquently seen practising at Mumbai Cricket Association’s BKC ground and on Mumbai’s maidans too. Last December, Rohit played two Vijay Hazare Trophy (50-over tournament) games in Jaipur, where he smashed a 94-ball 155 against Sikkim, before being dismissed for a duck versus Uttarakhand. His last three ODI matches were against New Zealand in January, where he scored 26, 24 and 11 at Vadodara, Rajkot and Indore respectively. Though Rohit mainly was an Impact Player in IPL-18 (scored 418 runs in 15 games), MI skipper Hardik Pandya may use his on-field experience in a bid to win their sixth IPL trophy.

India's Test opener has proved his batting ability in the shortest format, but he still failed to make India’s T20 World Cup squad recently. The left-hander now has another opportunity to prove his talent when he opens the innings for RR. Jaiswal’s last three IPL seasons, in which he has scored 625, 435 and 559 respectively, helped RR immensely, and this time too, head coach Kumar Sangakkara will be expecting something similar, especially since RR’s experienced opener Sanju Samson has been traded to Chennai Super Kings.
Shivam Dube

The India all-rounder will be playing in his eighth IPL. The attacking left-hander, famous for his big-hitting skills, played a crucial role when CSK won their last IPL title in 2023, scoring 418 runs. Though he scored just 235 runs in nine games during India’s T20 World Cup win recently, his short, but timely knocks were very crucial. Besides, his effective right-arm medium pace bowling gives CSK the advantage of an additional bowler in the playing XI.
Ayush Mhatre
18 yrs, Chennai Super Kings

India U-19 World Cup-winning skipper Ayush Mhatre will be very keen to make it count in IPL-19 after he managed just 214 runs in seven U-19 World Cup matches in Zimbabwe last month. However, his IPL-18 outing was impressive. The attacking opener played just seven matches, but scored 240 runs at a brilliant
strike-rate of 188.98.
Sarfaraz Khan
28 yrs, Chennai Super Kings

India Test batter Sarfaraz Khan has scored 371 runs in six matches with one century. He’s a consistent middle-order batter in red-ball cricket, having scored 5114 runs in 62 first-class games. However, recently, Sarfaraz emphasised that he’s keen to play white-ball cricket for India, meaning he will be looking to fulfil his ambition with a good show at IPL-19.
