Legendary Team India batsman Sachin Tendulkar feels that following the triumphs of the Indian women's cricket team in England will boost the confidence of the 'Women in Blue' for the upcoming two World Cups.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India clinched the T20I series by winning 3-2 against the England women's team. After their heroics in the shortest format, they went on to seal the ODI series by 2-1.

"Winning in England is always a challenge, and doing it across both T20Is and ODIs speaks volumes about the team's preparation and mindset," Tendulkar said on Reddit.

"These performances will give the team a lot of confidence going forward. With two World Cups on the horizon, this will be vital for the belief it builds. Well played, Team India," added the 52-year-old.

India is set to co-host the ODI World Cup along with Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to begin on September 30. Later, they will feature in the T20 World Cup 2026 in England.

Before the ODI World Cup, the 'Women in Blue' are all set to host Australia in a three-match ODI series. The contest will kick start from September 14.

Tendulkar heaped praise on individual performances where Smriti Mandhana smashed her maiden T20I century, Kaur's heroics in the all-important clashes and Kranti Gous's six-wicket haul in the third ODI.

Goud also became the youngest Indian pacer and fifth overall to achieve the feat.

"Smriti's hundred in the first T20I set the tone early in the tour. Harmanpreet's century in the final ODI built on that momentum. Kranti (Goud) followed it up beautifully with the ball, picking up six wickets in a pressure situation," said Tendulkar, who has represented India in 200 Test matches.

"Others played their part too, stepping up in key moments across both series," he concluded.

On the other hand, the Indian men's team is busy featuring in the five-match Test series against the 'Three Lions'. Currently, the Shubman Gill-led Team India is trailing the series by 1-2 against England. The ongoing fourth Test match is a do-or-die contest for the visitors as they will aim to keep the series alive.
