Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly said that stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma should continue playing the ODIs as long as they are performing in the format.
Speaking about media reports that the upcoming ODI series in Australia could be the last for Virat and Rohit, Ganguly said that he was not aware about any such development.
"I'm not aware of this, can't comment on this," said the former skipper during the AWL Agri Business Ltd Event.
Further speaking, he also added that the duo has a good record in the 50-over format, but the one who performs well should continue playing.
"It's difficult to say. Whoever does well will play. If they do well, they should continue. Kohli's one-day record is phenomenal, even Rohit Sharma's. Both of them are phenomenal in white-ball cricket," he said.

Virat and Rohit also announced their retirements from the longest format of the game days before the start of the recently concluded five-match Test series against England.
Following Rohit's retirement, Team India's think tank appointed Shubman Gill as their new skipper in Test cricket. Under his captaincy, the Indian side toured England and secured a 2-2 draw.
The duo had earlier drawn curtains on their T20I careers after the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.
The 'Men in Blue' will now participate in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. Speaking about the upcoming continental event, Sourav Ganguly said that Team India is the favourite to clinch the title. The former skipper said that given the form of the Indian team in Test cricket, they can also perform well in the Asia Cup.
"They are in the middle of a break. After the IPL, they played five Tests and now they will play the Asia Cup from September 9," said the 53-year-old.
"India are very strong, and if they are strong in red-ball cricket, they are even stronger in white-ball cricket. So, in my opinion, India are favourites, and beating them on those good Dubai wickets will be very tough," he added.
