Kenya have been a regular feature in World Cups since 1996 and stunned all and sundry with their semi-final appearance in the 2003 edition. They became the first non-Test playing nation to reach that far and are by far the best of the associate countries to have played top-level international cricket. Led by the veteran Jimmy Kamande, they will look to upset the apple cart again this time around, although their ageing team might struggle to keep up with their more athletic counterparts.

One of Kenya's senior-most players, Odoyo has been around for many seasons and is a premier all-rounder among associate players. A hard-hitting lower order batsman and a wily, medium-fast bowler, Odoyo has also represented Africa in the Afro-Asia Cup, putting in an impressive all-round performance in the tournament.u00a0

Consistency is the key to Odoyo's longevity and he has been richly rewarded by the game's authorities too when he won the inaugural Associate Player of the Year award in 2007.

That was also his breakthrough year in international cricket as he slammed hundreds against Canada in first-class matches as well as ODIs. With nearly 2500 runs and 138 wickets, Odoyo is the complete package and is spoken of in the same breath as Steve Tikolo when it comes to Kenyan cricket.u00a0
