Mehta gave a tough competition to Cope until the decider frame with a score of 5-4.

Mehta started off well with a 50 in the first frame, but soon was trailing 3-1. At 4-2 down, Mehta bounced back to go 4-3. He was unlucky while attempting a long pot in the final frame.
