India tennis ace Sania Mirza is highly appreciative of Serbia’s 24-time Grand Slam title-winner Novak Djokovic, 39, for his sheer longevity. “Novak is obviously a very special talent and amazingly still remains hungry to win.
That hunger to create records that may take a long time to be broken [if ever], coupled with his natural abilities, physical fitness and determination make him what he is today — a legend,” said Mirza, who also hailed the rivalry between World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz. While Sinner has pulled out of the US Open due to a right knee injury, Mirza is keen to see Acaraz’s comeback from a wrist injury that kept him out of action for four months: “Wrist injuries are not easy to come out of and it will be interesting to see how Alcaraz will come back from his injury break.”
