Alicia fancied for SA Poonawalla Million

The S A Poonawalla Million (Gr 3), billed as the feature event of Sunday's eight-race card at the Pune racetrack, may turn out to be a tricky race. Thanks to her Monsoon Derby victory at Chennai over the mile trip, the Pesi Shroff-trained Alicia (P S Chouhan up) will be strongly fancied for the top prize, but she will have to be at her best to deliver against her small, but gritty set of rivals, including her own stable mate Chopin (Neeraj Rawal up). 

 

Petronia and Regal Command who flew from the rear in their last starts can add pep to the finish, along with Flaming Fire, whose debut victory was more promising than the rather slow timing he clocked.
