Seven top class sprinters are in the fray for the Seth Ramnath Daga Trophy, the feature event of Thursday evening card of nine races; three among them--Goldie's Pet, Anacapri and Excellent Gold--have given proof of their razor sharp fitness during their victories in last run.
Though her pet trip is five furlongs, the Dallas Todywalla-trained Goldie's Pet should be able to hold her own over the extra furlong as she is already a winner at this class level and is now going out with David Allan who enjoys an incredible stride rate of nearly 70% on the Mahalaxmi track this season. The Pesi Shroff-trained Anacapri (Zervan up), who had narrowly lost to Goldie's Pet two months ago, will now be looking to avenge that defeat. The one who can pose serious danger to both of them on the strength of current form is the Narendra Lagad-trained Excellent Gold (Dashrath Singh up) who has been unstoppable since his debut victory at Pune, and will be bidding for his straight fifth victory today.
