In a historic display of precision and poise, the Indian women’s recurve team delivered a performance for the ages at the Archery World Cup Stage 2 in Shanghai. The trio, comprising the experienced Deepika Kumari alongside Ankita Bhakat and Kumkum Mohod, stunned the global archery community by defeating the formidable South Korean unit 5–1.
Beating South Korea is widely considered the ultimate challenge in recurve archery, as the Korean women’s team has long been the gold standard of Olympic dominance. This victory marks only the fourth time in history that India has overcome South Korea.
