New Delhi: Ace driver Armaan Ebrahim (left) was given the Motorsports Man of the Year award at a gala ceremony organised by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) here.

BI Chandhok received the Lifetime Achievement award for his immense contribution to the field of motorsports in India. A total of 99 drivers were awarded across eight different championships on Sunday night.
Armaan walked away with the glittering &lsquo;Raymond Gautam Singhania Rolling Trophy&rsquo; and a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for his commendable performance in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series. Armaan, along with his partner Dilantha, put up a great show in the Asia Series, winning the Fuji main race and qualifying for the World Series.
"I am delighted to be recognised for this award by FMSCI and would like to take this opportunity to thank my family and supporters for their constant encouragement," Armaan said.
BI Chandhok honoured The Lifetime Achievement award was given to Chandhok. An avid racer and a founder of FMSCI, Chandhok was awarded the trophy by FMSCI chairman Vijay Mallya, who hailed Chandhok and called him the father of motorsports in India.
"Being a motorsport enthusiast, I feel honoured to see the progression of motorsports in India. I would like to invite sponsors to come forward and extend their support to motorsports in the country. It is with their support alone that we can unleash our true potential," said Chandhok. &nbsp;&nbsp;
