The HDIL Invitation weekend will get underway today at Mahalaxmi with an eight-race card. The feature events will be the two grade
1 races: Oasis Star Sprinters' Cup & Privilege Industries Stayers' Cup. Both races appear very tricky on paper, the Sprinters' Cup likely to see a very close verdict. I expect Attila, trained by Pesi Shroff and to be ridden by Imran Chisty, to score an upset victory over more fancied rivals like Eloise, Nefyn and Celestial Way. For the Stayers' Cup, I nominate Cabriolet, also trained by Shroff and to be ridden by B Prakash, to win from Autonomy and the Bangalore challenger Spark Of Gold. First race at 1.45 pm.
