Sochi: Organisers yesterday postponed the start of the men's biathlon mass start race by one day due to heavy fog, the first event of the Sochi Olympics to be delayed by a day.

Some alpine ski races and ski jumping events at Sochi have been postponed by a few hours but this is the first time an event has been put off for the next day.
