Basketball legend Michael sits atop list of richest athletes of all time with lifetime earnings of Rs 41,977 crore

Basketball superstar Michael Jordan is the richest athlete in the world, according to a study by sports business analysts Sportico. The 63-year-old has reportedly raked in £3.41 billion (approximately Rs 41,977 crore) in his lifetime.
Jordan, who won six NBA Championships with the Chicago Bulls and two Olympic gold medals for USA, raked in the moolah not just from his million dollar franchise contracts during in his NBA days, but also from a variety of brand endorsement deals.
His most lucrative tie-up is with sportswear brand Nike, whom he associated with in October 1984 to launch the iconic Air Jordan shoes. The Jordan brand now has its own sportswear line.
