A small field of five runners will face the starter in the Edgar DeSylva Trophy, the prime event of today's seven-race evening card. Among them is Carbonara, who will be bidding for the hat-trick now after two back-to-back victories under the same conditions (class II, 1400m) at Pune; Yanna Rascala, also winner of two races at Pune before losing to the speedy Gazino recently at the Mahalaxmi track; and Bateleur, whose Classic aspirations are now over after a below par show in the Jacqueline Indian 2000 Guineas.
