Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza was one of the many passengers on board a Qantas flight from Los Angeles to Brisbane which failed to arrive in the Queensland capital yesterday. A representative of the Spaniard tennis star has informed officials at the Brisbane International (Dec 30- Jan 7), where she is the top seed, that her flight had returned to LA due to a fuel issue, reported The Daily Mail. Meanwhile, the airlines said that the issue was not fuel-related, but pointed to a fault with the weather radar system. Muguruza will board another flight that is due to arrive in Brisbane today.
