Enthused by the super response of the first two cards of evening racing, the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) authorities have framed an ambitious 11-race card for Saturday's races at the Mahalaxmi track. Interestingly, barring the opening race, all other races are named after Ivy League colleges in the UK, which step in as first-time sponsors thanks to the efforts of Vivek Jain and his marketing team

The Brown University Trophy, a class III race to be run over 1000 meters, may be regarded as the feature event of the bumper card. There are 15 runners in the fray, but looking to the current form and fitness, four-year-old filly Shivalik Story (A Sandesh up) from the yard of trainer Dallas Todywalla looks like the horse everyone will have to beat. With two back-to-back victories on this track over the same trip, I expect her to complete a hat-trick over her pet trip of five furlongs.
