The Conrad Pereira Trophy, named after one of the finest gentlemen who played a long innings at the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) Ltd when officiating as judge for the races, is split into two divisions thanks to a plethora of horses having been entered into the fray. The upper division has 11 class IV horses, while the lower division will feature ten runners--the race distance is nine furlongs.
Chef D'Oeuvre posted an impressive victory when gaining her maiden success in third lifetime start which was over seven furlongs, and looking to her style of striding there seems to be no issue of her being able to tackle the extra two furlongs.
