Chess player Roy commits suicide

Former national sub-junior champion and four-time state champion IM Sankar Roy was found handing at his residence in Tala Park in north Kolkata at around 4 am yesterday.

The 36-year-old player had won the National sub-junior champion in 1990. He also held the state senior national title from 1995 to 98. u00a0Roy was currently coaching former Asian U-12 champion Diptayan Ghosh.u00a0
