Roger Federer posted his second win to reach the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Masters on Friday. The seven-time champion held off Stan Wawrinka 6-7, 7-6, 6-2 to reach the last four, having earlier defeated Leonardo Mayer 6-1, 7-6 (8/6). Novak Djokovic kept his bid to complete the Golden Masters on track by ousting Milos Raonic in the quarter-finals.

The five-time Cincinnati runner-up first completed his rain-delayed third-round clash, dismissing Grigor Dimitrov 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, before overcoming Canadian Raonic 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.
