Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar expressed mixed emotions after winning his second straight Commonwealth Games silver medal, admitting he was pleased with the podium finish but disappointed after missing out on gold in the men's long jump at the Glasgow 2026 Games.
The 27-year-old, who previously earned silver at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, posted a top leap of 8.09m to take second place behind Jamaica's Tajay Gayle, who captured gold with an 8.15m mark. Scotland's Stephen Mackenzie grabbed bronze with an 8.08m effort.
