Dancing Prances for F D Wadia Trophy
Updated On: 11 August, 2013 02:25 AM IST | | Prakash Gosavi
The F D Wadia Trophy (Gr 2), feature event of Sunday's eight-race card has attracted eight three-year-old horses, six of them fillies.
At first glance, it looks like a match race between Altaf Hussain-trained Dancing Prances & Pesi Shroff-trained Mariinksy. However, a closer look at the Malesh Narredu-trained Hawker, who recently won on her debut in amazing style, makes me feel that perhaps this could turn out to be a triangular fight, with Dancing Prances having a slender edge over the other two.
Senora Bella, who had won her first two career starts before losing her way in the Poonawalla Breeders’ Multi-Million at Mahalaxmi, is expected to make amends and lift the Governor’s Gold Cup, the supporting event of the card. The Pesi Shroff trainee to be ridden by P Trevor attracts as the best betting proposition of the afternoon.
First race at 1.30 pm.
