Deepika Kumari finished eighth overall with 662 points and helped the women’s team finish ninth (1938 points) in the team ranking in the afternoon session on Day One of the archery competition of the 30th Olympics.

The women’s recurve event was dominated by Korea as Bo Bae Ki and Sung Jin Lee totalled 671 respectively. Chinese Taipei’s Ya-Ting Tan also logged with 671.
