Denny Crane, the Pesi Shroff-trained five-year-old mare who recently posted a smashing victory at Hyderabad, now returns to her home center to eye the top prize of the Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy (Gr 3), the feature event of Saturday's eight-race card. In the fray is also her stable-mate Adam in whom the betting public had placed their faith on that occasion. It will be interesting to see which of the two crosses the wire first today.
Of course, the race is not easy for solution, as seven more top class sprinters will also line up to match the strides. Among them are Dancing Prances & Dancing Phoenix, who can set the track ablaze on their day, St Andrews who recently won over this trip on this track, Celtic Prince who has been posting some sensational spurts on the trial track, and Holy Smoke, who had shown remarkable dash near the distance post last time, and one feels that kind of burst of energy may help him shock this field, of course, with little luck.
