Don Bosco International School (Matunga) edged past Bombay Scottish (Powai) 10-8 to lift the boys U-11 crown in the Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school basketball tournament. In the girls’ final, Vibgyor High School (Goregaon) sealed a narrow 6-5 win over Don Bosco to emerge champions

Don Bosco International School (Matunga) secured a 10-8 win over Bombay Scottish (Powai) in the final to clinch the boys U-11 title of the Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school basketball tournament recently.

Bombay Scottish started the brighter of the two sides and built a slender 4–2 lead after the first two quarters.  However, Don Bosco hit back  in the last two quarters, as they tightened their defence, forced turnovers, and capitalised on rebounds.

Nivaan Chedda (five points) proved to be the impact player for the Matunga outfit. He received solid support from Zian Shah (two points), Vansh Makda (two points), and Dhruv Bankaria (one point), as they turned the tide to emerge victors.

Abir Java, Siddharth Kale, Sarthak Vora, and Aayansh Anand all scored two points each for Bombay Scottish.

In the girls U-11 final, Vibgyor High School (Goregaon) got the better of Don Bosco International School (Matunga) 6-5 to clinch the title.
 
Vibgyor’s Krisha Aiyer, Hitakshi Jain and Mehr Shah scored two points each for the Goregaon side, while Tanaya Jawaker (four points), and Aniah Parikh (one point) got onto the scoresheet for Don Bosco.
