Los Angeles: Former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling filed for divorce on Wednesday from his wife, Shelly, after nearly 60 years of marriage.

The 81-year-old Sterling filed the paperwork in the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences with his wife who he has battled over ownership of the NBA team.
