Kimi Antonelli, 20, who could become the youngest Formula 1 champion this weekend, has contracted a viral illness ahead of the Mexico City Grand Prix, Mercedes said.

“Kimi is feeling under the weather today as he recovers from a viral illness. We expect him to be back tomorrow [Friday],” Mercedes said in a statement.
