F1 lifts swearing ban, halves penalty

Ahead of the Italian GP, the FIA has removed the risk of a race ban and cut the ‘base maximum penalty from 10,000 Euros (Rs 9.58 lakh) to 5000 Euros (Rs 4.78 lakh).’ Importantly the new guidelines now differentiate between ‘controlled’ and ‘uncontrolled’ swearing

F1’s governing body, the FIA, has reduced the controversial penalties dished out to drivers for swearing after backlash from the grid.
