<p>Hoblidhar broke Amiya Kumar Malik&rsquo;s seven-year old record (set in 2016) by 0.03 seconds at the semi-finals of the National Open Athletics Championships in Bengaluru.</p>

<p>Singh shattered Hoblidhar&rsquo;s national record by 0.03 seconds as he stormed to victory at the Indian Grand Prix 1 2025 Athletics meet in Bengaluru. Interestingly, Hoblidhar also bettered his previous record by 0.01 seconds in the same race.</p>

<p>Singh&rsquo;s record lasted less than four months as Kujur became the first Indian to run a 100m race in under 10.20 seconds. Kujur claimed the record en-route to finishing third at the Dromia International Sprint and Relays Meeting 2025 in Vari, Greece.</p>
<h2>10.17s (May 22, 2026) Gurindervir Singh</h2>
<p>Not satisfied with losing the national record, Singh reclaimed it from Kujur less than a year later, crossing the finish line in 10.17 seconds in the opening semi-final heat of the National Senior Athletics Federation Competition 2026 in Ranchi.</p>
<h2>10.15s (May 22, 2026) Animesh Kujur</h2>
<p>Kujur made sure Singh&rsquo;s joy was short-lived as merely minutes later, he set a new national record, eclipsing Singh&rsquo;s mark by 0.02 seconds in the second semi-final heat of the National Senior Athletics Federation Competition 2026 in Ranchi.</p>
<h2>10.09s (May 23, 2026) Gurindervir Singh</h2>
<p>Singh re-wrote the history books by becoming the first Indian to breach the 10.1-second barrier, shaving off 0.06 seconds from the previous national record en route to victory at the National Senior Athletics Federation Competition 2026 in Ranchi. Singh&rsquo;s performance earned him a berth at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.</p>
