Zurich: Former world champ Viswanathan Anand tasted his first success in Classical Chess this year after defeating Israel’s Boris Gelfand in the fourth round of the Zurich Chess Challenge yesterday.

With his first win in four games, Anand jumped to joint third spot. This victory also served as a morale booster after an indifferent start in the tournament.
