Pune: The Pune Bookmakers' Association Turf Club Trophy (Gr 3) is slated as the feature event of Sunday's seven-race card, and eight top class horses will be participating in it. Among them is Accolade, shouldering the top-weight, who was the sensational winner of the richest juvenile race last year over seven furlongs; St Andrews who came into his element after the Classics got over; and Your Royal Majesty who has been one of the best seven-furlong specialists in recent years--and if you think the contenders' list ends here, there is Holy Smoke who made a failed start to finish bid over this same trip just last week with elephantine impost on the back, and is now going with feather weight, and Dancing Prances who has been consistently earning his corn bill even at the age of seven.
In my opinion, fitness will be the key factor that will decide the winner of this race, and since Accolade, who recently returned from Bangalore is definitely fit, I feel he is the horse to beat.
