American boxer Floyd Mayweather garnered many praises from mothers for helping children with rare diseases. The world champ will appear at this year’s Las Vegas Ball held at the ICC in Birmingham on March 4. According to The Sun, Mayweather has promised to hand over the proceeds of an auction to Cure Leukaemia (an NGO) and Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s Star Appeal.

Michelle Turner, whose son Ethan was diagnosed with an extreme rare form of cancer, was ecstatic when Mayweather made the announcement. She said: “What Floyd Mayweather is doing is amazing, not everyone is as fortunate enough to be able to donate money and so we can’t thank him enough.”
