Champion boxer Floyd Mayweather's friends have slammed British actress and model Abi Clarke for suggesting that she was the American fighter's girlfriend.
Recently, Clarke, 26, told Closer magazine that she was taking a "break from relationships."
"I met Floyd last year in Vegas. I've had a lot of relationships with high-profile men, I attract them. I don't know why but I keep it quiet. I'll never be a kiss and tell girl," she had said.
Now, Mayweather's friends claim there was nothing between her and the multi million dollar boxing super star.
"They were never dating or a couple in the first place, so you can't split from something if it was never, at any time, joined together," one of Mayweather's pals told Britain's MailOnline.
"Anyone can take a picture with Floyd and say it is something it isn't. She's just linking herself with a world-renowned, very rich athlete," said another. Clarke and Mayweather, 40, were romantically linked after a cosy picture of the duo appeared in July, and he was said to have flown her across for multiple dates. "Floyd, never flew her anywhere," said another friend.
