Earlier this month, Force India finished outside points at Silverstone, as Brit driver Paul di Resta retired after a collision with Lotus’ Romain Grosjean in the opening lap and Hulkenberg failed to hold on to his ninth spot with just two laps remaining — ultimately finishing 12th.

Force India are currently languishing in eighth spot with 44 points, but Hulkenberg is confident Sunday’s ‘special’ race at Hockenheimring circuit will help revive his team’s fortunes.
