<p>For former American gymnast Aly Raisman, life is much more than just winning and competing.</p>
<p>Addressing students at the University Lecture Series (ULS), the three-time Olympic gold medallist advised students that it is important to ensure to be a good person. &ldquo;People will forget how many medals you have, but they won&rsquo;t forget the person you are,&rdquo; she was quoted as saying by www.usforacle.com.</p>
<p>Raisman said she loves spending time with her family and friends. &ldquo;I feel like the Aly that people may know is probably the gymnast, and some know me as being a survivor. I like to say that I am the oldest of four. I love being a big sister. I love hanging out with my friends and my family,&rdquo; she remarked.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Raisman thanked her parents for being a pillar of support to her. &ldquo;I feel very lucky that my parents were very supportive and wanted me to be happy. When I would finish practice, they weren&rsquo;t asking me why I didn&rsquo;t do this skill. I truly knew that if I didn&rsquo;t do well, if I didn&rsquo;t bring home the gold medal, I knew that my parents would love me,&rdquo; she explained.&nbsp;</p><p>
