Months after being dropped from the Indian women’s hockey team, former captain Rani Rampal on Thursday expressed her displeasure on being overlooked for the past two years, seeking explanation from the chief coach Janneke Schopmann. She also clarified that she does not plan on retiring anytime soon.

Rani has been sidelined for a long period since leading the Indian women's team to a first-ever fourth-place finish at the Olympics in Tokyo.
