An air-conditioned low-floor bus deployed at Commonwealth Games Village crushed a 28-year-old Delhi police constable near the Millennium Park depot late on Wednesday night.

A senior police officer said that the bus was empty and its driver was reversing it when the incident took place.
"The injured constable identified as Ram Prakash suffered severe injuries on both his legs. He was bleeding profusely and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

His condition is stated to be critical," said a senior police officer.According to the police, the driver did not notice Ram who was standing behind the bus. He was hit by the bus and he fell down and then was run over by the vehicle.

Police said that they will lodge an FIR against the errant bus driver and he will be arrested.
