Tenth seed Ruthvika Shivani G of Andhra Pradesh upset Air India's top seed Reshma Karthik in the semi-final of the girl's under-19 singles event of the 3rd Gautam Thakkar Memorial All India Junior Badminton Tournament at Bombay Gymkhana.

The 16-year-old Gopichand Academy trainee Ruthvika was dominant from the start on Saturday and eased to a 21-6, 21-5 victory.
