Congressional, ably piloted by jockey S Zervan, powered his way to a stylish victory in the Rajpipla Trophy, the feature event of yesterday’s seven-race card gone through at the Mahalaxmi racecourse.

The winner was trained by Bezan Chenoy who also saddled another winner in Sawgrass (G Santosh up) who won the Anmol Preet Plate as a 10-1 long shot. Chenoy thus emerged as star performer of the afternoon with this brace.
