MiD DAY’s January 18 edition had a story on Kiran Kanojia who was the only female blade runner participating in the Dream Run of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon (SCMM) yesterday. Kanojia, who had lost her leg due to an accident while chasing a thief two years ago, finished the race without any problems yesterday.

Speaking about her experience, Kanojia said, “There were so thousands of people in the dream run event. We didn’t even get space to run. So we walked some distance and then ran when we got some space. “The experience of being the part of Mumbai Marathon has just been amazing. The warmth and appreciation that we got from the people has motivated me to come back and run the half-marathon next year,” she signed off.
