Fancied Central Railway will take on India Rush HC Grey in the opening match, a men’s open pool-B fixture, of the inaugural Savio Super 5s hockey tournament at Andheri today.
Mumbai Customs, Union Bank of India, Bombay Republicans ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams and Sea View SC are the strong contenders among the 16 men’s teams that will vie for the top honours.
Two outstation outfits, Hockey Nashik and Champion Training Centre will also be in action. The format will be a league-cum-knockout basis.
