Dikembe Mutombo is regarded as one of the greatest shot blockers and defensive players of all time, winning the National Basketball Associationu00a0 (NBA) Defensive Player of the Year Award four times.

The 7 foot, 2 inch former Houston Rockets star was in the city yesterday in his capacity as NBA's global ambassador and inaugurated a basketball court at St Dominic Savio High School in Andheri as part of NBA's long-term commitment to enhance basketball participation and promote healthy, active lifestyles through NBA Cares, the League's social responsibility program "I'm so excited to be in India. There is a lot of hidden talent here. It's like a hidden treasure," said Mutombo, who played for the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks before having to retire after suffering a knee injury in the second game of Round One of the 2009 NBA play-offs for the Rockets.
