India’s Pramod Bhagat storms into quarter-finals in Tokyo, Sukant Kadam wins too

In doubles, Bhagat paired up with Manoj Sarkar to beat Vietnam’s Van Thuong Nguyen and Duc Trung Pham in 17 minutes

Ace Indian shuttlers Pramod Bhagat SL-3 reached the quarter-finals at the Para Badminton World Championships in Tokyo on Wednesday. 

He first defeated Peru’s Albert  Manuel Puente Perez 21-3, 21-10 and then got the better of England’s William Smith in 22 minutes with a 21-5, 21-3 victory.  Bhagat will take on Ukraine’s Oleksandr Chykrov or Indonesia’s Maman Nurjaman in the Last-8 encounter.
