Ace Indian shuttlers Pramod Bhagat SL-3 reached the quarter-finals at the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/amp/sports/other-sports/article/bai-announces-rs-5l-cash-rewards-for-sankar-and-doubles-pair-satwik-chirag-23253251" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Para Badminton</a> World Championships in Tokyo on Wednesday.&nbsp;
He first defeated Peru&rsquo;s Albert &nbsp;Manuel Puente Perez 21-3, 21-10 and then got the better of England&rsquo;s William Smith in 22 minutes with a 21-5, 21-3 victory. &nbsp;Bhagat will take on Ukraine&rsquo;s Oleksandr Chykrov or Indonesia&rsquo;s Maman Nurjaman in the Last-8 encounter.

In doubles, Bhagat paired up with &nbsp;Manoj Sarkar to beat Vietnam&rsquo;s Van Thuong Nguyen and Duc Trung Pham in 17 minutes. The final score reading 21-9, 21-6. Their next take on South Korea&rsquo;s Joo Dongjae and Shin Kyung Hwan.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, World No. 3 in the SL-4 category, Sukant Kadam, defeated Uganda&rsquo;s Hassan Mubiru in straight sets 21-2, 21-4. Kadam also comfortably got past Vietnam&rsquo;s Van Thuong Nguyen 21-9, 21-10.
