Jamnabai's Neel Roy rules the pool

Neel Roy of Jamnabai Narsee won three gold with two new meet records while Fr Agnel's, Vashi, bagged the boys and girls team championships, in the 40th Bombay YMCA Inter School & Jr College swimming championship at the Mandpeshwar Civic Federation pool in Borivli recently. Roy, 16, kicked off his victorious campaign when he clocked 52.67 seconds in the boys U-17 100m freestyle that eclipsed Fr Agnel's Viraj Prabhu's 2014 record of 00.54.09. He then shattered the boys' U-17 100m backstroke mark clocking 59.17 seconds to better Mehlam Ghadialy's 1:02.28 set last year. Roy won his third gold in the 100m breaststroke.
