Jennika Jason storms into MSSA U-10 girls tennis final

After crashing out in the first round of the MSSA U-10 tennis tourney last year, unseeded Carmel of St Joseph school girl takes on top seed Kyra Shetty in the final today

Unfancied Jennika Jason is one of the shining stars of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school tennis tournament. After losing in the first round of this tournament last year, the unseeded eight-year-old Carmel of St Joseph (Malad) player is all set to take on top seed Kyra Shetty of Jamnabai Narsee in the title clash today.

Yesterday, Jennika upset fourth seed Manvi Shroff of Jamnabai Narsee (Juhu) 6-3 in the girls U-10 semi-final at the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) courts. Kyra defeated fifth seed Saloni Dey 6-4 in the other semi-final.
