Jhanvi Shinde saves the day for Apostolic Carmel

<p>Apostolic Carmel (Bandra) goalkeeper Jhanvi Shinde came to Azad Maidan leaving her school’s farewell party midway to play the Bengal Club Sports Academy organised girls’ U-16 inter-school Swami Vivekananda and Sister Nivedita Memorial Trophy final yesterday.</p>

Her sacrifice paid off as the 15-year-old effected three crucial saves against Dhirubhai Ambani High School (BKC) and ensured her team held on to the slim 1-0 lead when the final whistle was blown. Joanna Jenson scored the all-important goal.
