Needing a solitary point to win, Nikhil Ghadge of Matunga Gym bungled a sitter before going down in a second round robin of the MCF State Level Open billiards tournament at the Mandpeshwar Civic Federation, Borivli yesterday.
Requiring a break of 52 to beat Hitesh Kotwani of PJ Hindu Gym in the 250-up group opener, Railway cueist Ghadge (-130 handicap) accumulated 51 points until he missed an easy shot. Kotwani rallied to win 460-379.
