The four-time NBA champion crashed into a courtside fan, spilling his wine in the process. However, before returning to action, James took a sip of the spilled drink, leaving fans amused.
The 41-year-old, who has represented the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat, collided with Philadelphia supporter Troy Clemons, who was seated in the front row.
Speaking about the incident later, James revealed more details, as reported by US magazine People.
“I spilled some of his wine. I crashed into him and spilled some of his wine. So, I wanted to see if it was worth it on my arm, to see how good it was. It was alright,” joked James, a well-known wine aficionado.
Meanwhile, Clemons revealed that the NBA superstar apologised to him. “He said, ‘My bad.’ I’m just glad for him to be here. I’m not worried about the wine getting on me,” he said.
