New York: American skiing champion Lindsey Vonn is keen to be a mother, but is struggling to find a suitor for herself.

Despite being pretty, the 31-year-old says even she has a hard time finding a date.
&ldquo;I would love to be a mom. I just don&rsquo;t know ... I kind of need a guy first,&rdquo; Vonn was quoted as saying by CNN.
&ldquo;Dating is tough. Most of the time the normal guys are too intimidated and the guys that have enough confidence, have too much confidence. It&rsquo;s really hard, I haven&rsquo;t navigated my way very well,&rdquo; added Vonn, who dated former World No 1 golfer Tiger Woods.
Despite her public spilt from Woods last May, Vonn says that she is still fond of her former lover.
&ldquo;I still love him. He&rsquo;s a great guy, he&rsquo;s a great father, and I have the utmost respect for him. And I just wish him the best. We&rsquo;re friends. We&rsquo;re just two adults and it didn&rsquo;t work out,&rdquo; Vonn said in an Access Hollywood interview.
She also knows exactly what she is looking for in her partner.
&ldquo;I want someone that is self confident, but doesn&rsquo;t have a huge ego. Someone who supports everything I do and doesn&rsquo;t hold me back. Someone who encourages me to do what I want to do and what&rsquo;s good for me and my skiing and my life.&rdquo;
Vonn&rsquo;s a dog lover She says that the two must-have qualities of her partner are &mdash; to win over her dad first and love for canines. &ldquo;Getting along with my dad is the biggest challenge. Oh, and must be a dog lover. If not, it&rsquo;s a no go.&rdquo;
